MR (Marine Rescue) 12-5 is a 18′ airboat.  While MR 12-5 is used year-round, the primary advantage of this aircraft-propeller driven boat is its ability to move across a frozen lake in the winter.  Wearing special cold water rescue suits firefighters can enter frigid water to assist people in distress.
